OKO are modern towers in Moscow City, which embody the latest ideas in the fields of architecture, infrastructure, and housing formats. Already at the design stage, the skyscrapers attracted the attention of Muscovites. The creators of OKO studied the experience of high-rise buildings previously erected in Moscow City and included the most advanced solutions for living in the new project.
The two towers of the complex are united by a common platform-crystal. The very name OKO comes from the form of the project: “United by Crystal Foundations”. And also, according to the authors of the skyscraper concept, OKO reflects the essence of the ancient sacral symbol – an omniscient look into the future, and in the modern world – trendwatching.
Two skyscrapers are united by a common stylobate “crystal”. The name “OKO” comes from the form of the project: “United by Crystal Foundations”. In addition, according to the architects, the project reflects the essence of ancient sacred symbols – an all-knowing look into the future and in the modern world – tracking trends.
Architectural concept
The OKO Towers project is two towers of 85 and 49 floors in height. The authors of OKO are specialists of the international architectural bureau Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP, who designed the Burj Khalifa tower. The concept of Oko Towers is based on the perfection of simple geometric forms and their organic integration into the modern urban business space. The towers of the complex are united by a platform-crystal.
Diagonal edges of the facade and relief recesses, which are a combination of concrete and glass, create an effect of compositional integrity and visual elegance. The complex looks frozen, floating between heaven and earth, delighting those watching with the play of light and the lightness of the structure.
And if you look at their glass facades, you can see a 7-storey crystalline volume at the foot of the towers, where the lobby and part of the commercial premises are located.
The lobby, whose interiors with 7-meter high ceilings were designed by the famous designer Massimo Iosa Ghini. With designer furniture, understated decoration and metal structures, the designer creates a cozy corner with progressive elements, ideal for both relaxation and meetings with partners.
History of construction
The downtime of 11 years allowed the developer to accumulate capital and attract investors. Therefore, there were no delays in further work – both towers were erected synchronously and quickly:
The 49-story North Tower was the first to be completed. And next to the ongoing construction, offices of famous brands and the Moscow City Hall have already settled down;
The South Tower consists of 85 floors, so it took the developer 1.5 years longer to erect it.
Soon a 6-storey “crystal” also grew nearby, where stores, cafes, entertainment centers and conference halls settled down.
A park with walking and bicycle paths, playgrounds and recreation areas was laid out next to the mixed-use complex. Thus, “OKO” acquired its rich infrastructure and recognizable appearance.
Builder’s reputation
Capital Group, a real estate development company founded in 1993, is in charge of the project. It has 7.8 million square meters of completed projects in De luxe and Premium segments. Its contribution to real estate development has been recognized at different levels, including international.
CRE Awards`09 recognized Capital City mixed-use complex as the best in 2010. Tricolor mixed-use complex was among the most outstanding projects at the Architectural Moscow exhibition.
In 2016, OKO Towers became the winner of the FIABCI Prix d’Excellence. This award is a kind of “Oscar” of international development.
The “Eye” observation deck (“Only love is higher”)
#Higher Only Love is an observation deck located in the Eye Tower of the Moscow City complex. The height at which this site is located is 354 meters. The main feature of this attraction is that many tourists come here to admire Moscow landscapes, because here tourists can enjoy a full panoramic view.
The observation deck opened in 2017, but in a very short time of its existence it became very popular among both tourists and citizens. It is known that in addition to the observation deck #Higher only love, there is another observation deck on the territory of the Moscow City business center – Panorama 360, located in the Federation East tower.
Apartment design
OKO complex includes 400 panoramic apartments with an area from 80 to 300 m2. The number of rooms ranges from 1 to 3. All apartments are finished according to the latest design trends. Capital Group has brought the European construction experience to Russia by the example of OKO, so that the buyers could move in quickly. The apartments in the tower are offered with ready finishing, high quality sanitary ware and fully equipped kitchen.
The experience of advanced countries confirms the greatest demand for fully ready-to-move-in premises – in Europe, houses without finishing are perceived as much less liquid options. Therefore, the trend towards modern housing formats with high-end equipment has come to progressive Moscow City.
Office space
In the Oko complex you can successfully combine business and living in comfortable apartments. The second 49-storey tower has more than 122,000 m2. It houses office premises. Open and cubicle layouts are available, which allow you to optimally equip the space according to the needs of any business.
Having a modern office in the OKO skyscraper will raise the status of a company and may also increase the productivity of work processes: thanks to the developed infrastructure, employees and clients will be able to solve business issues faster and more efficiently.
Location of mixed-use complex “OKO”
The complex is built in the north-western part of Moscow City in Presnensky District of the Central Administrative District at the address: Moscow, 1st Krasnogvardeysky proezd, 21, p. 2. From the west it is adjoined by the TTC, from the north, south and east of the complex it is surrounded by business center towers.
The building density of the center is quite high, the environmental situation is adversely affected by the proximity of the Third Transport Ring and the low degree of landscaping of the MMDC. The negative impact is mitigated by the green spaces of Krasnaya Presnya Park located nearby.
Transportation accessibility
The business center of Moscow City is characterized by excellent transport accessibility, and LCD “OKO” is no exception: the TTC is in close proximity. From the parking lot it is convenient to exit to Krasnogvardeysky Proyezd and Severny Entrance.
The distance to the historical center of the capital is 5.3 km, this time by car can be overcome without traffic jams in 15-17 minutes.
Presnenskaya embankment adjoins the towers. There are two metro stations on the territory of the center – “Delovoy Tsentr” and “Mezhdunarodnaya”. Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo airports can be reached by Aeroexpress trains in 30 minutes.
